Basically, the whole bowl is a really, really poor design. The lids are super hard to screw on and off easily even for my larger hand. To make them tight and not leak, I have to use a rubber gripper, but then we all have a hard time opening them. The handle is not a screwing device as another reviewer suggested, it is also flimsy. The spoons are made of very thin and weak plastic and it is set up for failure sooner then later!

I purchased 4 of these bowls for my children's lunches this year.

From the 1st use, one of the foldout spoons never snapped into place correctly. By the 2nd use, it was showing signs of total failure and after the 3rd hot lunch yesterday, the spoon totally cracked off! I am now wondering when the other 3 spoons will also break. These bowls are really expensive and should be built to be used by children and to last a whole lunch year!

I vote NO for purchasing this item!

Don't buy this. I'm a college student so I'm always trying to bring a healthily lunch to school. This doesn't hold much. and the lid was hard to open. The spoon was broken before I even used it once.

I saw this on The Today Show and thought it would be great for my kids. I prep the bowl with some hot water while I heat up their lunch, dump the water out and then put their lunch in the bowl to stay warm. They are so excited to have "hot lunch" now since I rarely allow them to get the hot lunch they offer at school. Another reviewer noted that it was hard to open. Not sure, but I think that is why the handle is there? Lift and turn the handle and it makes it easy for the kids to screw off the lid. Also, my husband had the same issue with the spoon until I showed him he hadn't snapped it into place! You need to open the spoon and then push the two pieces together until they click. Thanks Fit & Fresh!!!
